I've got a photo of my 99 Silverado at Google Maps coordinates 18.702303, -100.672978.

I'll find and post from my home computer tonight.

This was in 2009, about a year after I had bought it. I forgot how good the old truck looked, even though it was 10 years old then. This time of year there was like the hot/dry season. Everything is green and lush most of the year when it rains regularly.

@strutaeng My girl and I have been trying to go to Monterrey but Covid happened and now we are too busy. Mexico is just beautiful. And the old Texas plate

I just came from aesthetics.

my hard drive crashed shortly after the trip, so i ain't got pictures... but we took the H3 out & gave my wife her first rock crawling lesson back in June. a good friend just finished building a wrangler & invited us out with his family. 'twas definitely more aggressive of a trail than he let on, but we made it through without breaking nothing serious.

couldn't afford to take too many risks with her work DD, and the worst i found after was that we bent her step bar mounts ALL to crap on a couple drops! after getting up & past the last big obstacle, i felt something kinda vibrating/grinding underneath as we rolled. thought i'd sheared a gear or chain inside the driveline or something... but thankfully turned out to be both step bars rubbing on the back tires. a couple tow straps & us two guys jerking them off (so to speak) got us back on the road with much less anxiety!
