Default Just Got New Wheels, looking for tire options..

I just picked up a set of staggered 20" wheels for my 06' Ranger STX. The wheel sizes are 20x10 +38 for the rear and 20x8.5 +40 for the front. I have mounted them to the truck and it seems the offsets will be perfect for my truck. I know I will need a small stretch on the tires, but not sure what tire widths would give me this effect?

I am taking a wild guess at a 275/35/20 for the rear and 245/35/20 for the front?

The mock up.

Im thinking I may want something like a 40 sidewall in the rear and 35 up front? will this work right? Basically I want a meaty stretched tire on the rear and whatever looks right on the front with a small stretch. I am going for the "sport truck" look.

The estimated look I am going for..maybe a bit more sidewall on the rear.

Quick chop on wheels..except the lip will match the centers.

You will get alot more help in the "show & shine" section rather than the "offroad section". You stay too long in here and you will have a 6" lift and 33's!!

Just calculating, I believe you hit the size right on. You will have about an inch of height difference from the front to the rear. Toyo Proxes 4's would be my reccomendation, at aout $650.00 for the set

The proxes 4 are pretty tall tires it seems. I was looking at the new hankook v12s and in those same sizes are pretty much equal in size from front to rear and almost dead on with the factory OD(27.4).
