Kinda goin backwards?
Ok, I already bought the tires (285/75/16) Nitto's from 4WheelParts(GREAT DEAL) but now I have to wait till I get my body lift and I don't know what one to get. Performance Accesories 3in kit for 327$ or Summit Racing 3in kit for 234$ plus I'm sure I don't need it but lift spacers for the front, I would like to even out the rake. Any Takers?

the summit kit is the exact same as the performance accesories, just the summit kis it thrown in a different box, so go with the summit to save money

dont do body! i have 285/75 R16 on my 2wd and all i did was put a 2'' spacer on the front the rear is fine and it will rub a lil on the front sway bar but only if you crank the wheel all the way...even tho all i have is ranch hand front and rear people cant seem to get it right that i have a 2wd and it does give a little more clearance but dont forget to get it realligned

i found my body lift on ebay for like a little more than 100, and it was a brand new in box, perf. acc. body lift, as soon as i saw it i bought it, no thinking about it at all, try ebay and see what is out there, before going with anyone else.

Please DO NOT do a body lift. There are plenty of 3-4" spindle lifts that can be had for your truck for about $400. Then get blocks and u-bolts from a 4wd and you'll sit about exactly like my truck (or a bit higher in the front).
Just make sure whatever spindle lift you go with supports stock wheels and tires (if that's what you're using).

Don't do a body lift!!! You will hate yourself after you do it. After some time your truck will sound like the entire cab is going to fall off. And besides yes you can get a body lift cheaper than any suspension lift out there, but then you have to buy longer linkages and splice in wire sections to make sure everything from inside the body (ie: cab, fenders, hood) to the frame (ie: frame, fuel tank, axles) will still connect. Think about it, how many connections are there between the "body" and the "chassis" on your truck. Not only electrical, but brake lines, fuel lines, fuel fill neck, axle/tranny vent tubes. Not to mention you will then have to lower your radiator to make the shroud fit around the fan. (unless you have e fans) There is a lot more than just putting 3" bigger pucks under the body. You will then have to worry about body weakening at those points. The body does and does not sit on the frame, you add 3" and the body is only going to be sitting on those 4 points.
I would spend the extra 200 bucks and get a good set of spindles and lift springs for the front and then either an AAL or lift block in the rear just for leveling purposes.
I think you would be much happier with the suspension lift.
Don't 2wd 2500 springs in the front give you guys about 2" or so of lift on the 1500's???

i agree, dont do a BL. do the 4wd lift blocks/ubolts and a add-a-leaf if you have to... then do lift spindles, youll only have a couple 100 more nad youll have a suspension lift
