Default Mud Flap fix-it Tickets

How many of you guys have gotten nailed for not having Mud Flaps on your rig? I don't know about the laws in other states, but in CA if your tires stick out of the wheel well or your body is higher than the hub caps you're required to have them. I've gotten pulled over 4x already for not having mud flaps. Granted it was after 2am and i know they were pulling me over to check if i was drunk or not. They always get me for probable cause on the mud flaps. Out of the 4 times, i got a fix-it ticket once. But that's not the point!!

Now i'm debating getting the front windows tinted (also illegal in CA), but not if it's another reason for probable cause to pull me over. CA laws are BS!!!

Move.

Seriously if you put mud flaps on....and DON'T get tinted windows you MIGHT not get pulled over BUT they might think your rig is too high then and STILL get pulled over.

I know its the law because i'm related to 4 cops. Of course they get "professional courtesy" and a few of them have limo tint all around and 37" tires with no problems.

It's illegal in CA to have any tint on the windshield or front windows. And you "must" have mud flaps if your tires stick out. It's the same thing with the emissions, it varies with every state

its not illegal to have tint on your front side windows you can have 70% tint on them..

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in.

I've gotten a ticket for not having an "anti-spray device" ie. mudflaps. I was told that AK state law is a 14" maximum from the ground. I found it to be ridiculous, since straight off the showroom floor my truck was illegal.

What? Are you kidding? There's thousands of miles of mountain and desert trails. Did you forget that CA is a huge *** state?

Even where I live there are off-road areas close by.

I got pulled over once in the 2.5 years of owning a lifted vehicle for not having mudflaps. This was in Tulare County by the Highway Patrol.

It's a law there too. There's a guy on gmfullsize from Fresno that used to have a 9.5" full throttle kit and 36's on his 03 silverado. He got nailed for not having mud flaps.
