so it hits me, i want to lift the truck more
here's my first question,
i've made up my mind on a 6inch with some 35's, i dont like the look of 35's on a 4.
Would i be able to buy a rancho 4 and use my leveling kit that is on already for the 6?

Rancho is only a 4". The front on the 99-07 NBS can crank the torsions of the 4x4 and get an extra 2". Not a good idea!!! Because then you will have to add another 2" of block to the rear to get it to right height and level. With that being said, there will be soooooo much axle wrap with the 4" let alone adding the additional 2" you wouldn't be able to get any traction cuz the rear will just hop around!!!
The NNBS '07 1/2 tons have a coil front. The "leveling kits" are just spacers right? (I don't know) If so, I don't know if the lift kit you want comes with new coils to get the 4" or if it does a combination of coils and spacers? If it comes with just coils, then maybe the spacers will work on the lift coils for the extra 2". If not, your SOL.
Good luck.
Laters.
And all lift kits that state "4-6 or 6-8 inch kits" are just that. The lower number is the actual "lift" you get, and the other 2" higher number is cranking the torsions up so you get 2 more inches in the front. To give it that crappy "California Baja" lift look.

Um once again I disagree with you, cranking your torsion bars if there not sagging at all can get you 2 inches, but you will probably will have to get ford keys to get that much or more, also cranking 2 inches will not make the front 2 inches higher then the rear it will just level it with the back. Also a 4 inch block wouldnt be that bad for axle wrap...
