A grade 5 bolt will have 3 hash marks on the head and a grade 8 bolt will have 6.

good rule of thumb is take the number of dashes on it and add 2 to it.

You can't go by finish for grading bolts. I've seen both grades of bolts with both finishes. The 3 and 6 hash marks are the "official" SAE markings for grade 5 and 8. If they have no makings, or 2 hash marks close together, then they are only grade 2.

The bolts that came with my lift were silver/metal in color. I havent had any problems thus far, but I just want to be sure. Does anyone else have a Performance Accessories BL on their ride?

i had a PA 3" on my chevy and i never had any problems wit it... i didnt have a suspension lift though. i have seen tons of ppl wit stacked lifts and never heard anything bad about it. im sure all these bolts are tested for strength, they wouldnt have been in the box had it not passed so i dont think you have anything to worry about. how hard do you wheel your truck?

Not too hard. I never go crawlin' just an occasional muddy area, or beach dune. I dont go out of my way to tear it up, but I dont go out of my to avoid it. Does make any sense?
