Default Suspension Lift for old school

I am looking at doing a suspension lift for my 88 GMC SB 4X4. I don't want to do any grinding, cutting or welding if I can avoid it, but I'd like to do a 4" or 6" lift. Someone give me clue as to which kit would be the easiest to do for once a week muddin' and also daily driving. And ride means nothing. The wife only goes for the occasional road ride.
