My dad had a set of BFG MTR's on his old Tahoe, and they were really noisy, really expensive, and he only got about 17,000 miles from the set. They did look pretty badass though.
For comparison's sake, I've run two set of Pathfinder ATR's and one set of Yokohama ATR's on my truck and gotten anywhere between 30 and 40k out of them, and I am not nice to tires Between those two, I will definitely go with the Yokohama's again next time I'm due for tires.

285/70-17 would be a good tire. the only bad thing is they are about 210 a tire in the BFG. I have been trying to find a deal for the same tire for my F250.

i found them for 197 with a 20 percent discount through the military exchange so for 4 tires tax free 800 with 20% so 640 for 4 tires is a good deal to me so im going to try and get them while they are offering that deal

I would go with something like a 285/70/R16 Wrangler AT/S or another All-terrain tire besides BFG if you don't want to spend a bunch of money. BFG = $$$, but BFG's are great tires. I ran a set of AT's on my 96 Jimmy and I loved them.
