I have an 01 gmc sierra 2wd with a 5.3 and I was wonder what lift should I go with as far as quality and price. I've looked at the pics of 6 inch lifts and I think I wanna go with that or a little higher. I want it to have and aggressive stance and I don't want my tires to have at least 2 inch's of clearance with 33s or 35s. can someone help me cuz all I can find is a 7 inch fab tech and CST from desertrat.com here in town.

 

I would say depends on what you are willing to shell out. To go cheap try rough country I started out with them they are great for just looks and light beating's but if you are going for super mud bogging go with Fab tech or rize with rize you will fork out the money but is soooooo worth the 12 inch lift and still clear 40's. But its what you are willing to spend and what the use are going to be Hope this helps

 

your very limited on that truck it being a 2wd without spending some serious money.

like said above its all about the cash you wanna spend i wouldnt even bother looking at rize they are a "show" lift and are around 6k i believe, i have a superlift and i love it. i would try truckaddons.com and look at some lifts there they have a good array at lifts and you can specify 2wd instead of clicking on every lift looking

 

If you want a 2wd without being made fun of where I'm from it better be a long travel. Check out a Camburg Mid-Travel setup, Kibbetech, Mazzulla etc. on this forum - Dezert Silverados you can run a mid travel without needing front glass'

 

Is your 2wd coil or torsion bar suspension?

 

I would contact TCS Suspension, Full Throttle, or Showoff Motorsports and ask them about there 7" kits. I know the basic kits aren't to badly priced it when you start adding all the option up or upgrades is when it gets expensive. Go on GMFullsize.com forum and look at the lifted truck section or look in the vendor section to see what other options you have.

 

Go the 3in spindle lift and 3in body lift

 

I have had a 4" rancho, 6" rancho, but neither compare to my 6" RST fabtech setup on my current truck, i am very impressed by the ride
