will a 92-93 4l80e fit a 02

I have came across a 92-93 for a steal and would like to know if it would work in my 01 LQ?

I think they will work, however, the trans is completely diff from one another...From a few things I read it is pref to use a 99 and later 80 for a ls engine.. Best bet is to get on the phone with Frank(performabuilt or Vince Flt)

I read that pre 94's will not shift using our pcm's.
