Default cam question

How many of you guys are running stock heads with a cam? I use my truck daily and actually use it for work but was wondering/kinda worried about daily drivability...I cant afford (money/time) if it takes a crap on me.

Im definitely in the market to do the install but want all the input before I bail off and get one. A vendor on TBSSowners has spec'd out a custom grind for me that 'says' id put down 400whp/tq on a stall and stock heads.

Whats yalls input on drivability/reliability?

i would do a converter first... then do a smaller cam if its gunna be daily driven. But the drivability is all gunna be in the tune...

Thats a lot bigger cam than the stealth cam. Would be more like the attitude cam from alvin.
You should be fine going with a cam but drive-ability varies with opinion. You will get worse gas mileage but the motor should be fine for daily driving. Your tranny might not be...

I mean the TBSS's dont get great mileage anyway...I get 15mpg at wot or cruising...so really doesnt matter..ha

I just didnt want surge real bad or hurt on the motor from putting miles on it but I think the stall would take care of that.

I know on tbssowners there was a guy selling his cam that had the awd cam only record. You should buy that one.
