I originally did this because everything was polished underhood of my SSR and the stock Throttle body was half plastic. When I installed it I couldn't believe that it made such a nice difference. It provides a better ramp rate at first then the stock throttle body too, this gets rid of the sluggish pedal feel for the first few degrees of pedal movement also.

I'm not 100% positive, but I didn't think you could swap to the C6/GTO throttle body without some sort of tuning, and I don't think thats been worked out yet. Maybe I'm behind the times on that. I had talked to vector about that, and I thought they told me no you couldn't swap them.

Maybe they just dont want to deal with it, it is hard to leave it on the table when everyone that has done it loves it.

Thanks for the info.
Maybe I can find a used one from somebody that went aftermarket and pick it up cheap.
Or what about porting the stocker? From your photos it appears that 1/2 of the ID on the intake side is chamfered and the other 1/2 is not.
Blend this all the way around?
Simple job for someone with machinist skills (me).

The stocker has that ramp on both sides, you should be able to machine it out real easy. I just dont know how far you can go before you hit a port or anything???
