Removed Front Headlight.

Weight savings

Spare Tire Taken Out

Less than a 1/4 tank of gas

I dialed in rear air bags so more pressure is on the right Rear for better launch

Now on this run it was a 125 shot and usually he runs 1.6 60 foots, this is the slip his daughter emailed me. He said he didnt hit the jug off the line he hit it out pas the 60 foot mark, and now the truck is on a 150 shot and is insane. His son is 25 and hes the one who takes the truck out to the street races the dad is 65 and been into cars for a while. With the 150 shot launched at the street races last night no prob so headed back to the track next week to see what happens. Prob going to need a new tranny soon. The 275 40 17 really push this truck threw the gears very fast. Great tire to go with. This run was at infineon (old sears point) and the track is 13 feet above sea level.

ANYONE SERIOUS ABOUT DRAG RACING GO WITH THE 275 40 17 MICKEY THOMPSON DRAG RADIAL. THING HOOKS LIKE CRAZY AND TRUCK GOES THREW THE GEARS A LOT FASTER. ITS LIKE GOING FROM A 4.10 GEAR RATIO TO A 4.80.

275 40 17 drag radials on some 17x9 rallys which i had from a buddy who never got to use it on his trailblazer project from a few years ago.

i got the same tires and chose these rims (17x9.5) but they are 6 lug.

stock 20x8s have 46mm offset so thats like a 6.34 backspacing.

now these 17x9.5 can have a 6.7 bs and then shave off the pad to bring it up to a 7.5 backspacing.

On the trailblazers SS and normal ones the rear ends are offset. once you lower it you will notice it a lot more. Pass side sticks out about 1/2 inch more.

i wanted to pull the rim mounted with the tire 1 more inch in. So i did a 6.7 bs and had them shave the inside .4 on drivers side and pass side had them cut down 3/4 of a inch on the pad so the tire should be centered inside the well.

vids and pics bro, I gotta have vids and pics. I was thinking about taking the stock spare wheel and having them widened 2 inches. What kind of RPM is that truck pulling at the end of the quarter with 40 series on 17's?
