Luckily my friend at best buy told me what module I needed before hand so I ordered it through amazon as well as the alarm. I think all of it ran me around 250-275ish then he put it in for me for 50 bucks on the side. Just wait till they quote you an install price for something you didn't buy from them, 100-150 for the harness then I bet they try and hit you for another 150-200 for install. Some shops just wanna rob people blind even when they're making straight profit.

Yea i used to work in sales at circut Shitty and i would't let someone from a store like that do the install even if they paid me to (no offence). And i know all about the $200 min install quote.

Yea that i phone app looks sweet but i aint got the doe for that now.

Well the guy that put mine in was one of the installers at best buy, he just did it on the side for me to make some extra cash. Trust me, I'd never let anyone at best buy or circuit city touch the stuff on my truck either but the guy is a good friend of mine and he's really good at what he does so I trusted his work and his only.

picked mine up for 200 and had it installed for another 175 by a guy that used to work at a reputable shop. I love the alarm on my 02 gmc.

all i can say is be careful with the 2-way remote...mine fell out of my jacket pocket when i bent over to pick something up, maybe a 3 foot drop and it cracked in half. $75 bucks for a replacement...so not cool
