did I not say the not including the gt500? and the cts v runs about 15000 more on average, and the gt500 doesnt even compare if included in the comparission as far as performance for your dollar

Current MSRP on the 550-hp GT500 is $47k, with about 3800 pounds to haul around. The $54k ZL1 comes with 580hp and an extra 200 pounds at least, if not 300. The bargain is definitely the Ford right now, and unless the 2013 shows up with a base price over $60k, the Camaro will still be playing catchup. I'm definitely a Chevy guy, but Ford is definitely the king of the pony car wars this time around.

May as well. Ford doesn't hide in the dark with it because they know that GM won't drop the LS9 in the ZL1 (especially not this close to the debut) to meet the challenge, and they won't bump the LSA to 650hp either. Ford has this in the bag until Chevy either quits playing follow the leader or introduces a lighter 6th-gen Camaro to level the playing field. Both cars are going to be phenomenal for the foreseeable future, regardless of who is in the lead.

Ford annouced there new gt500 which is about 3850 lbs about 200 pounds heavier then the zl1, but with a base price exspected to be in the 60g range, will it be have a higher top speed? More then likely, will it do better on tracks such as the Nurburgring? I definently have my doughts
I may sound biased to the Camaro and I am for good reason. Yes Im impressed with the massive power outputs of the new GT500, but look how much research and development gm has been putting into the ZL1, there hasnt been enough evidence floating around long enough about this new GT500 to prove that ford has done the same, seems to me they threw in a larger displacement 5.0 up the boost on there s/c and upgraded there powertrain to handle the power and called it done
