I have to agree GM is playing catch up here... They MATCHED the GT500 with the ZL1. Ford just upped the ante.

BTW the GT500 will never be in the same league as a Corvette. I can almost guarantee that a grand sport would still beat up a GT500 on a track even with a 200 HP disadvantage, and thats a 7-8 yr old design at this point.

Either way, this competition is what drives innovation. I am amazed at where soem of these cars are today. Look back as little as 10 years and either one of these would have been earth shattering.

They keep piling on power, but none of these rwd cars can hook. Kind of just a dick measuring contest unless you put on slicks.
