Default 2012 ford focus or 2012 chevy cruze

I am thinking of getting a new *******. I looked at both, but want opinions of folks who have owed one. I like different parts of both. Ford has better deals on focus than chevy has on cruze, even with my gm employee discount. Let me know what yall think.

If I get time Monday, I'm going to go test drive a Cruze. I'm in need of a commuter, so I'll chime in if I get the chance to get a drive.

I'm in the same boat, decided on Ford focus, they pack a lot in that little car. I'm going HB though.

I have been in a LT cruze base for a little over a week(G8 is in the shop getting warranty work done), and like it so far. average 37.6 in the last 200 miles, 34.5 mpg in the whole 550 miles on the car. 60/40 driving, h/c. I have read where with a little tuning, you can get 48-50 highway. plus the trans needs a tune, shifts slow and needs to stay in the mid rpm for the tq. Focus trans scares me. auto shift manual, with a sealed for life fluid setup. The focus HB seemed small to me, so did the focus sedan. Very nice non the less. I didnt have any trouble with the ford on the test drive, but the cruze has tons more mid power.
