the 5.5 better not be delegated only to more door trucks. But gm is shy about regular cab engines. Anyone have more info on the 5.5s? Supposed to be direct injected according to rumors. Full redesign, or new heads on an ls, etc?

I heard that 5.5 will be twin turbo'd. Don't remember the source though.

They're doing good with the 5.5 vettes to meet racing racing rules, but that's just an ls (as far as us plebeians know). Seeing cam in cam like vipers would be cool, not give everybody but the hemi/viper guys something to make fun of. "They gave in to the superiority of quintuple cam 40 valve 5 liters motors with the external dimensions of a cad 500 like the rest of us". Could do a split rocker jobby and have 3+ valves like any diesel and a few other engines. Have to have some light parts and bad *** springs though. Yeah, i'm bored.

With fresh slate 2012 heads, that could make the ls9 look silly
