Default 4.3L in a Geo Tracker

OK so I took off to the beach in my 95 Geo tracker. Didn't make it far. Wrung the pulley off the end of the cam. I suppose the cam locked up but I don't know how. It was getting oil. Oh well this is the third time the head has crapped out on this lil 4banger and I'm tired of fixing a piece of junk. I have a buddy with a 95 blazer wrecked but motor tranny and all is good. How hard would it be to cram the 4.3l and 4l60 in this thing...along with t-case. I know it has been done. What all do I need from the blazer other than motor transmission tcase and computer and wiring?
I cant afford to drive the 8.1L everywhere haha

Haahaha there would be no lack of power thats for sure!!!

If your good at wrenching, it wont be all that bad. Just make sure you get small stuff like the fuel pump and such. All the wiring conected to the driverrain. Fuse box and pcm.

Im putting a 4.8/4l60e/np241 in a samurai and it actually fits pretty decent. So that 4.3 might be decent fit in the tracker. You been on any tracker forums? They pretty much will call it a waste but im sure theres somebody on there that can give you a hand.

How awesome would the 8.1 be in the tracker. Pointless but completely awesome!!!! And yeah all the guys on my zuki forum said why would I need that much power and it was stupid...but why do I need a 496 inch motor in my pickup? By God because I like the power. I figure a 4.3 MIGHT get 20 MPG in the Geo. I think imma try it. Just have to invest in some different length driveshats.

It's a sad day when people say the 4.3 is too much power

00chevyscott I agree!! 180hp ain't much. Most zuki guys swear by their 50hp 4bangers. If I wanna get somewhere I wanna be able to run the speed limit at least!
Oh what if the blazer has the steering column shifter? What do I need to do there?
