My dad is in the process of buying a Barrett semi-auto, the wait list sucks because they supply the armed forces and of course they get the first ones when they need it, the civilian population gets the surplus rifles they have. He lives in NM, where prairie dog hunting is big, he wants to shoot them with it.
i havent shot one, was just lookin at AR-style rifles and thought that was funny.
id love to have a barrett semi-auto but not for $8k

That sniper was Carlos Hathcock. He fabricated a mount and put a Unertl scope on a .50 BMG machine gun while in Viet Nam. He was the first to do it to my knowledge.

I didn't look at that page but, would you really want that gun in a lightweight model? Also, with that muzzle break make SURE you have your ear protection.
