I don't know what the regs are for powerplants but I would assume the river/lake cooling water is the third cooling medium. Meaning it cools the static cooling water that is self contained which itself cools the reactor water.

That would be my assumption.

The "outside" water they use is for a Water/Water heat exchanger basically..
No cross contamination.
All the water for the reactor stays in the plant..

If the mess staff made enough to buy his toys, i'd be in luck with a 3rd engineers license. My trucks are getting gen V 7.0s in 2015

You put some work in to graduate dualie you went to Cal maritime? I'm at Texas maritime at a&m galveston. Looking to be a 3rd engineer on a drill ship, they make money and have a set schedule for the most part. And if you go on your commercial cruise with transocean, you're pretty much set after graduation. I'll be graduating in '15 unless I screw up.

Nahh, I went to King Point. Figured if I was gonna do this I might as well do it right. I visited cal maritime, SUNY, Mass, and Maine Maritime and they all had their pros and cons but Kings Point to me was where I had to go if I was gonna be serious about this.
Good luck with your studies dude! You picked the right major so your already off to a good start!
