Default Any AR-15 owners on here?

just looking to see if anyone else on here owned an AR-15...a good friend of mine keeps bugging me on to get one and I went to a local shop with him to check a few out...he has about 22 or so semi auto weapons so he knows his stuff...

They had a few bushmasters, colts, rock river and a couple others...by far the most comfortable was the rock river...if you own an AR-15, post up some pics and how you like it...

Rock River Entry Tactical:

Haven't done much to it yet. It has a Magpul ASAP single point sling mount with a Blackhawk sling and an Eotech 517 holographic sight. I have some USGI aluminum mags but I prefer Magpul Pmags like the one in the picture. I'm going to add a flip up rear sight after I get a drop in quad rail so I can move the Eotech up a little. At the same time I'll probably also add a front grip.

I love Rock River, they make very nice ARs. Bushmasters are also great, as are Smith and Wesson ARs and Stag Arms. DPMS sometimes get a bad rap but they are pretty decent and usually a little cheaper.

I have a custom built AR-15 with a DPMS lower, upper, chrome line 16" barrel kit from Del-Ton, custom grip, and 6 position stock. I was pretty excited about this gun because it was my first time building a gun from scratch. Fired the first round off my back deck last night.

Not an AR-15 but I picked this AK-47 up the other day for sh*ts and giggles. Pry go next week to pick me up a DPMS AR-15 entry level rifle. DPMS just felt the best to me but there are A LOT of awesome brands out there. Figured I'd buy a complete rifle at first and then build my next one to gain the experience.

No pics, but I've got an original Colt SP1 pre-ban. Its nothing fancy by any means, infact kinda plain, but it has all the accessories, bi-pod, brass catcher, bayonet etc... I really like it though.

One day I'd like buy or build a modern one and tac it up.

I'd personally avoid DPMS. They just aren't the same quality as your Rock River, Stag and etc. For about 100 bucks more you can get a Rock River as i have been seeing the entry tacticals in the 900's now.

Im really new to guns in general but I just wanted to see what everyone on here has and how they like it...Ive been doing some reading and finding pros and cons of each...Im still pretty confident on that RRA weapon I was looking at...

only thing thats holding me back is how often Ill use it...its nice to have for home defense and just to own one in general...there is a shooting range only a few minutes away from me but at .40 cents a round, its not exactly cheap to shoot...Im prolly gonna go to the range with my friend and fire a few of his guns and go from there...

thanks for the responses guys...lots of nice weapons you guys got!
