so what was done to it? not much obviously
1/8 mile is plenty to show how fast your car is. why do a 1/4 mile race? you place way more stress and wear and tear on your vehicle for no reason, longer track means more room for error and to break stuff. drag racing is to show how fast your vehicle can accelerate, an 1/8 mile is sufficient for that.

You could run 1/8 or 1/4. They mandated the 11.5 index run 1/8th. The runout at that track is very short. It was scary as hell getting stopped before the track ended with my 100+ MPH runs and I have good brakes.
For the most part the trucks there were slow. Even mine was way off that day. My best for the day was a 13.06.

its all about how you set your car up, i like 1/8 mile so my truck will be set up for an 1/8 mile track when i get done with it....a high reving BBC, powerglide and a high rear gear, the truck will not do as well in the 1/4 as in the 1/8 but its all about what you prefer and how you set your car up. besides, 1/8 mile racing is more competitive around here
