1/8 mile is plenty to show how fast your car is. why do a 1/4 mile race? you place way more stress and wear and tear on your vehicle for no reason, longer track means more room for error and to break stuff. drag racing is to show how fast your vehicle can accelerate, an 1/8 mile is sufficient for that.

For the most part the trucks there were slow. Even mine was way off that day. My best for the day was a 13.06.
I get that, but considering the 1st muscle truck episode showed the 1/4 time of these trucks. it just seems dumb to then finish up with 1/8th mile times.

LOL, they pulled the engine, freshened it up and put on some Edelbrock heads/cam. Maybe Edelbrock sent them some stock ones?

It was ridiculously slow

interestig view. There are differences and some that do well in the 1/8th don't do as well on the big end of the 1/4.

its all about how you set your car up, i like 1/8 mile so my truck will be set up for an 1/8 mile track when i get done with it....a high reving BBC, powerglide and a high rear gear, the truck will not do as well in the 1/4 as in the 1/8 but its all about what you prefer and how you set your car up. besides, 1/8 mile racing is more competitive around here
