well ive been offered a job at my local advance auto parts store, and was just wondering if any of you guys work there, and how you like it?

 

Your going to deal with the general public, which in most cases are fukn idiots. So if you can handle that and are willing to work for the money that are going to pay, it will be fine.. My buddy use to work ad salvo auto parts, was a some what people person, he quit because of all the idiots..

 

the store is right in the middle of a area that is known for turning out some of florida's finest rednecks, so im already expecting tons of dumbass questions from even dumber cockrods

 

Haha I used to work at autozone, not a bad job, but like Mangled said, you get a TON of stupid people. Just pray all the stupid people are customers and not coworkers

 

actually the manager and other coworkers are really cool guys, not your usual boneheads.

 

Just hope your smarter than most the dumbasss that work where I live. Lol

 

I still need to ask about spark plugs for a cummins, water pump for a gen 1 bug, and anything for an '83 vette. Guys in the Advance here are fucktarded

 

i work there full time. been there almost 3 years now. not a bad gig at all. but think your working in retail and with the general public so it gets aggravating. the ease of the job and pay make it worth it tho.


very easy to move up in the company if you do your job well.

 

I used to manage an NAPA store. I actually liked the work, but the employees were very hard to work with. They just wanted to show up, and get a pay check. They didn't care about the business at all. If you are interested in that work, and put an honest effort forward to making customers happy it will be a great job. The bosses and customers will soon learn that you are the guy to go to when they want the right parts.
