anyone tried the nitto NT05R yet?
supposed to be better than the 555r. the 555r worked pretty good for me so better is great to hear! i wanted the MT et drag radial origianlly but from reading people are saying that they only last about 5k miles. the 05r is cheaper and will probably make it 10k. ill never use them on the track anyways. maybe just 1 or 2 passes to see how they do. im mainly trying to be able to stay half *** planted going down the street.
anyways, anyone tried them yet? or will I be the first?

a friend runs them on a gt500 that makes 800 ish, they aren't bad considering the m/t he had on it were like my truck on bicycle tires! He likes them but he only drives the car maybe 200 miles a month, and he has like 20 sets of wheels, two of them with these tires. I would love to try a set but I is broke

I had the NT05 summer max 295/45ZR18 not the drag radial but they hooked pretty good, I was putting down 390/365 at the time. The drag radial should hook pretty damn good

I almost purchased a set of 315/35 NT05R's for the street, but decided to part with this toy. I'm sure they would work great on the street, just don't run them in the rain. With a UTQG rating of 00 they will grip way better than any street tire out there. If you're worried about life don't spin them on the street as that will kill them quick. With that soft of a tread compound, life of the tire depends on the driver.
I ran a few sets of M&H 28x10.50's on the street and loved them. I still was able to light them up with a 20-30 punch at 18 psi, but it was a lot more predicatable than a street tire. Makes street tires feel like you're on ice skates. The drag radials would really lift the front up when they hooked which a street tire would never do. If it was a highschool kid that likes spinning tire and burnouts a street tire is what they should run, but drag radials are way more fun on the street. No sense in power if your spinning tire, I vote run the NT05R's.

Quick posted a video of his a little while back and he did like a 1/8th mile burnout on his I'm sure that took some life out of them
