Anyone try or have a Plastic welder?
I'm in the market. I have a few small *cough..intake, cough...air box... cough* projects... I would rather not buy one only to find out it is the wrong type. I know very little about plastic welding other than it is much harder to do over normal welding..
Post up if you have tried to weld plastic and what welder you would recommend...

I believe only certain types of plastic Fuse with some structure integrity. Our Intakes do not fall in that category they become brittle when melted and cooled in room temperatures. If you could some how preheat the intake and slow the cooling process you might have a wiener. That process would be uncharted territory far as I know.I think pappydan has the right idea epoxy or glue would definitely work if used correctly.
