i have the i/r titanium for work and it owns **** , i work on diesel equipment and all kind of big **** that requires the gun , i also have the 3/4 version for the real big stuff.

the handy one i love is the snap on 18v cordless and it can do 500ftlbs , it stronger than alot of air powered impacts.

im looking for a 500+ ft lbs 1/2" drive impact. i work on cummins, cats, detroits, etc.... so i need a good, long lasting impact.

http://www.tooldiscounter.com/ItemDi...p=IRAIR2135QTI

im looking at this one, an supposedly they make a 2135 max or something like that but no info on its torque rating.

...

im picking up the 2135TI-MAX 780ft lbs so say...ill test it out and see how well its going to work
SO, it's what another 30 ft lbs.? Right? That was the gun I wanted if my MAC I've had for yrs. Altho I only work on pedestrian stuff (cars & trucks), not what you're into. I like what u got & I wanted it for its power, either 2135Ti version, the 1st u listed or the MAX. I'da said this would be way to go anyway for you or me, cause it's 3.95#. And u do this all day, every day. I don't. FWIW, my bro has had a Snapon (I bought my MAC cause I didn't wanna spring for the extra the Snapon cost back when I bought mine) he used when he was a tech. I used it yesterday. Betcha it's 20 yrs. old, maybe more. He's had it for a long time, stills works great. So ya, u get what u pay for.

I have the big 1/2" drive snap on that I got about three years ago it is rated at 810ft lbs working torque and 1200ft lb breaking torque. Haven't had a problem with it other then it will give u a headache after using it for a long time if u don't install the muffler kit.

I use the big 1/2" snapon for 3 years now with no problems. I work on semi's and trailers on anything from suspensions to changing tires. I would have no problem buying another snapon. I have seen the Matco and MAC ones that use the composite casings break with heavy use.

we run IR at work (smaller impacts, and big *** compressors) the way i look at it, no matter what it'll get rebuilt. "IF" it breaks, work is buying me a new one. i just want the biggest baddest impact i can find in 1/2" bc i do a lot of stuff that requires one unless i wanna turn a ratchet all day long

i broke a few craftsman sockets/ratchets and they get replaced, or someone steals my shii and they buy me PROTO.....eh...so far ive only broke 2 of their ratchets and thats bc i was using it to break some bolts loose with a 4' cheater pipe, or a huge *** hammer to help it along

we work on all kinds of stuff lol. tore a crane down to get rid of the cummins 2300 main engine and cummins 1150 generator motor to turn it all electric. imma have to go to school for that crap
