Question bed liner?

I guess this I put this in the right place to put this. I have an 03 silvy fully loaded LT. It's got a weird bed on it, the floor and sides are plastic and fiberglass then the outsides are bolted to them. I was wondering if these we only in certain trucks or if all of the LT's had em? I've only saw 1 other truck around here like that so thats what made me wonder. I would take pics but my batteries are dead.

Chevy offered that bed (I think they called it Pro-Tec) for a few years on certin ECSBs. Your right they do seem to be quite rare, the only easy way to tell is the tailgate, it has 'Chevrolet" in raised letters on the tailgate (in body color, its not a emblem but rather stamped into the tailgate) I've only seen one in my area, and he has a hard tonneau on it so I've never seen the inside of one.

I first saw one of those in Springfield, MO at the Bass Pro Shop, it was a brand new '02. I've only seen 2-3 ever since then in my area. I have a crash book from a body shop and that bed is freakin' expensive to repair!!!

My tailgate has the raised letters on it. People tell me that the bed weighs about a hundred pounds lighter than a normal metal bed, I know my tailgate hardly weighs anything at all. I guess the guy that bought this truck new had a few extra dollars to spend.
