Yes it would...and an ugly sleeper at that!! I spent 6 years in France and saw Fiat's, Peugot's, Renauld's, and every other kind of hideous European car that you can imagine. Not sure I want to build an ugly one.
I think by sleeper I meant something that looks good but isn't known for speed, although the porsche was always my dream car which is why I threw it in there even though it doesn't really fall into the sleeper mind set I had.

I came to the conclusion that I don't want another truck. If I did I was gonna throw it in a Colorado but that's been done before as well! I thought of doing that VW bus before but that would be a death trap! I can only imagine being on the freeway and seeing a Supra roll up past me and me floor it and pass him just as we come to a slight bend in the freeway where this shoebox on 12 inch wheels rolls over because the guy in the carpool lane farted in my direction. In a straight line it would be fun but I want to cruise in this car without having to worry about it's aerodynamic limitations.

I like the MG idea. I'd go with the first RWD car you can find at a cheap price in good condition and go with that.
I've seen delorean's run anywhere from $16.5k to 25k. If you lived closer i'd practically give you my cousins 75 plymouth duster w/ slant 6. its rwd and the only body work it needs is floor boards. It's really only worth buying if your good with sheet metal.

I was at a car show last night and my buddy Rex was telling me I should drop it in a "Mondeo"? Not sure if I spelled it right but it's a two door coup that is RWD. We saw one and it looked ok but It is a muscle car which to me says heavy heavy heavy! I still like the MG!

Ford Mondeo?
That's the midsize car that ford makes for european countries. Its a real nice car, but good luck finding one in the U.S.
Here's a pic of a new one.
