You try just moving the quad by hand back and forth, maybe to get the tranny back into gear?

check the condition of the belt cause if you get them wet then they slip and wont move

it funtions the same as a sled trans... if you have those down there umm it should be a bit tight and as you rev it up the belt should get tighter and if thats not happening then its a clutch issue... hence the reason why i love my standard racer less issues

the clutches engage on the sides of the belt and squeze down and tighten the belt some. what where you doing when it started this. you probably have a burnt spot on the belt and when that happens the worn out part of the belt stops directly on the clutches. leave the clutch cover off and see what it does when you prop the rear up and give it some gas.

yeah no sleds down here. the cover is off. when you start it in neutral the engine side pulley moves and pulls the belt along, and it grabs the trans pulley too, pop it in gear, and the trans pulley and belt stop moving.
the engine side is supposed to add the tension right? because it appears that its supposed to move in and out to do that, but it doesnt...
