Think she'll notice the boxes when the converter, heads, new cam or LTs come in might as well just warn her its gonna happen with or without her approval!

 

I got this one time and I had to just turn around and stare at the pump to keep from busting out laughing .. Cept I was fillin up with 93


I've had a couple ppl ask me why it runs like crap or sothing of that nature..

Being in the south I've had a lot more good comments than bad and a lot of ppl know why it sounds like it does.

My favorite I left my truck running while I went in the store and grabbed a drink when I walked back out this older fella that just got off his goldwing was standing there just staring with a smile on his face. He walked up to my window (windows down) and smiled and said I aint heard one like that since I was 19 man I miss it... I think it made his day.


Next person that ask me "that thing a 350 vortex" I'm gunna pull my glock from between the seats and shoot them in the face

My truck chopd like a **** I don't hardly ever get bad comments .. if I go around with my cutout open I get at least 5 comments a day every day with ppl amazed with it

 

my wife after I did a cam swap - "really . . . is all of this really necessary? Your truck is rocking, shaking, . . . and is it always that loud when you push that switch??? I mean seriously, people are staring!!"

Then I took my truck out for lunch one day with some work buddies and two clients. One of the guys asked, "dude, I thought that you were a mechanic and all . . . why is this POS rocking back and forth, is this your truck or another project, it sounds like you have a serious miss or a bad plug or something . . . you should really get that checked . . ."

 

Lol, this thread makes me miss my loud truck with cut-outs.
Mine kinda docile now in how it sounds...kinda.

I always get the, nice sounding big block in there man.. I just agree, say thanks.. Guy at emissions told me one time, that I had a very bad miss, might need a new rotor and cap, didn't understand how it passed, esp while our eyes were burning from exhaust Some people just do not know

 

I got the bad kind of attention yesterday, left it idling in the parking lot, ran in to the store. Come back out, there's a cop standing there. "Look kid, I know why this thing is idling like it is. We're gonna be watching you." ****.
