Default Can anyone comment on LMC truck parts

Just looking at LMC for some front end parts for the "hit and run" damage. Seems they've got decent prices. Any comments on quality and fitment? Thanks

Is this based on actual experience with the parts or what?

I'm basically looking for a paintable bumper cap and a chrome grill shell since I can't seem to find these for sale anywhere else new, and no one wants to ship these oversized parts if they're parting out a truck.

I've had no issues with LMC over the years, restoring various stuff from the 70s, 80s and 90. LMC is legit as far as I am concerned. They do have holes in their catalogs though, missing certain body styles of a vehicle entirely. But if you find what you want its worthwhile.

They're a great place to deal with. They've got a wide variety of parts, some that you have trouble finding. No complaints, and I've yet to get a piece of "junk" from them.

They're the same quality parts you find elsewhere, they're all imported from China and Thailand. But they inflate their prices to make them seem higher quality. They're not going to be OEM quality, and if you're going to settle for aftermarket you might as well get them for a better price.

Might take a look at these guys link, I forget where you live, but I've bought parts from them before for very cheap. Some of their parts match OEM stuff pretty good (bumper caps, valences, lights), but their HD grille was a little different than factory.

Sounds good guys, thats what i was hoping to hear.

Smokeshow, i recall you mentioning you knew a good painter locally. Any chance that person could paint some plastic bodyparts for me?

I bought a new bumper and brackets from them a year or so ago for my 96, they were pretty good quality. I would buy from them again if need be.
