ForcedTQ, read my post. now uve heard of it. there was no acceleration lost since i was going 60MPH and wasnt speeding but i floored it and he gave me a ticket even tho i had a v6 in a fullsize silverado with 3.23's... needless to say there was no traction loss...

Technically any manner of acceleration that is excessive. If you don't HAVE to take off fast then you shouldn't be doing it.
HOW fast is TOO fast is going to be up to the 5-0 that sees you do it. But if you have to think about it Your probably going too fast.
I do it all the time but I'm not going to argue with the cop about it if I get caught. I just make sure every thing is clear before I do it.

Agreed, there are circumstances that lend themselves to a little fun from a stop, but you have to be smart about it, and extremely aware of your surroundings. If you're wanting to accel all out and exceed the speed limit take it to a track.
