I talk to people from all over the country every day and holy **** it's scary how many people don't know things that should be common knowledge.

Yup I think that's about it. I believe its $80

While I agree with you that there are TONS of people who shouldn't be handling firearms of any type, that type of argument is bordering on the logic for switching from a "shall issue" to a "may issue" type of system.

I went and took the class today and it was pretty cool. The instructor I had is an OKC Officer and actually patrols the area where I work. He was real cool and had us out of there by 1:30.
He usually carries a Keltech .380 and an XD40. Another guy there had an XD 40 Subcompact which i think is the 3" barrel?.
That Keltech is smaller than my Walther P22 and isn't expensive So I'd likely buy one of those. But I'ma check the prices on the XDU

Yes, the XD subcompact is a 3in. barrel and is one of my favorite pistols I own. The Keltech's are ok but dont expect them to hold up to thousands of rounds and I presonally wouldnt trust my life with it.
The price on the XD's range from $510-$560 depending on location, and well worth the money they are a great gun.
If you like the .380 cal. look into the Ruger LCP, I believe nonnie has one and has said he likes it alot. Built better IMO and cost in a minimal amount more than the Keltech.

I have an XD40 service model 4" barrel and it is great. I also recently got and Smith and Wesson M&P 40C which is a 3" barrel and it is really nice too. I almost like it better than my KD. I do have one issue with it though in that the magazine releases a bit too easy. I need to call S&W and see if they can do something for me to improve it. I hear they have really good customer service. I got a really good price on it at a gun show brand new it was about $480 out the door with trijicon night sights on it.

Smith&Wesson has second to none customer service, I just got my m&p40c back from them, they replaced the entire slide for me and paid for everything and only had it for 3 days!!

It's a minor problem I have but I would hate to be in an emergency situation and have my magazine fall out when I draw because it is so easy to release.
