Condo Association Update...
Definitions-
The following words and phrases are extracted from the amended and restated Declarations (Bylaws) of Turtle Bay Condominiums I through IV, Article I:
Section 1.1 - Common Elements. All portions of the Condominium other than the units.
Section 1.2 - Community Elements. Those certain pieces or parcels of land described as "Master Association Parcel" on a map entitled "Property Map Turtle Bay, Branford, CT. 1"- 80' October 1, 1979" recorded in the Branford Land Records together with all structures and appurtenances thereto, including, without limitation, swimming pool, four (4) tennis courts, clubhouse and streets and roadways, which benefit all Unit Owners.
retarded rule that I will fight...
ARTICLE VI VEHICLES. ROADWAYS AND PARKING
Section 6.1 - Vehicles. No motorized vehicles of any kind other than passenger automobiles and pickup trucks not exceeding 1/4 ton capacity may be parked or stored in the Common Elements or Community Elements except for temporary loading and unloading. This prohibition includes trucks, full-size pickup trucks, commercial vehicles, mobile homes, campers, livery vehicles, radically modified vehicles, vehicles carrying a sign advertising a business, motorcycles, trailers, jet-skis, or boats. All highway vehicles used or parked on the property will be registered, properly equipped, and in operating condition for safe travel on the public highways of the state.

so here we go, the meeting did not bring up my truck, but they want to re-write the rules...as of right now I can argue that the total capacity of most SUV's are over 1/4 ton, or that mine is a highway vehicle...There is no definition of radically modified vehicle or interpretation of that...

So you need to politely ask then why 1/2 ton trucks are not allowed. A 1/2 ton truck uses up no more space than a "Passenger vehicle" SUV.
this rule need ammended. I can kind of understand big trucks like 3/4-1 ton but not 1/2
Edit: just saw your 2nd post.
Agreed. Most SUV's are 1/2 to 3/4 ton. This should be pointed out

Just swinging in the dark here....what's the reason behind the ban? I'm guessing the rule was instituted because of (perhaps) some people who were running businesses with their trucks and these trucks were eyesores. If so, encourage them to get to the 'spirit' of the law (no work trucks) and rewrite the bylaws so the letter of the law is more in alignment with the spirit - more accurate and specific.
