Cop hits car at 94MPH
This cop was doing 94 mph with NO lights or Sirens on and slams into a car making a turn. Killing both people in the car.
According to the report he was NOT reporting to a call. To make matters even worse, he is on PAID LEAVE. How the hell do you get paid leave for murdering 2 people? He is being charged with Manslaughter and it better stick.

I read another article earlier about this. The two cops had finished a call and were heading back to the station. This was completely unnecessary event.
But how often do you see cops doing this? Fly past you on the highway, or city streets, turning without stopping at red lights, i have on more then one occasion seen a cop turn his lights on to go through a light then just turn them off afterwords. I think they think because they have a badge the rules don't apply, i think its bullshit.
I think they need 1-800-hows my driving stickers...

Man thats horrible, my guess is since there was obviously another cop next to him he was showing off or something to that effect if there was no call. still shouldnt be on paid leave if hes being charged and def not gonna be staying a cop.. ridiculous that he wasnt on a call at all.
also as far as i know it there are two different calls that they run, priority and non priority(where there suppose to get there as fast as possible but still obeying all traffic laws). With a robbery being priority and needing lights sirens etc, and domestic disturbance and the like being the ladder.. But ive seen what your talking about with cops flying by and then just blip the lights and siren at a light then continue threw just to get to a meaingless call i assume because he wants to be apart of the action. If im wrong feel free to correct me on the calls.. some cops are worse than others about just flying around for no reason and abusing traffic laws from what ive noticed, so i wouldnt say there all guilty of it..

anyways.. i think a 1-800 number is great.. the more calls the more fines they pay!!! not a bad idea..

The stickers is absolutely useless because it will be abused. A cop pulls you over, you take down his sticker info and later on report him for something just because you have a personal vedetta against him.
I hope the charges stick, he clearly was beign irresponsible.

They do the same **** around here... Cops speed more than the speeders...
On a side note my little brother got hit by a sheriff making an illegal turn. Out come was the sheriff at fault but he didn't even have to pay the deductible. Police insurance it crappy, had a hard time getting the car fixed until they were forced to get my brother a rental...
