Cop hits car at 94MPH
#12
I agree, there's no way he was doing 94. I watched it a couple of times and the car that he struck didn't stop when they made the turn. if they had they would have seen the cop car coming down the road. Besides why are there teenagers out at 2:30 in the morning.

i think the only thing that would solve it is make it like alberta you pretty much cant get away with anything here. there is RCMP(federal),local police, Provincial sheriffs(high way petrol), Independant photo radar contractors. all of which or competing for funding so if any officer sees another officer of any kind abusing the laws they do get a ticket and it automatically goes to court from what I'm told.

i dont know how to tell what mph the camera car was goin, but somebody said 60? If the camera car was doing 60 then the cop passing him was at least doing 80 something, no denying that, way too fast. and have you ever had to try and tell how fast headlights are coming at you at night, its hard, theres no way you would expect someone coming at you at 80+ at night on city st. with NO lights or sirens on..

Well I cant say what cops policies are, but our AOR is all of CT and part of NY, so our response time can be pretty slow and even worse during rush hour but when we are responding to an incident we normally dont have our lights on if we are on the highway as long as we are making descent time. If traffic is stopped then we will flip the lights on but it can be more of a headache than its worth unless we are going down the right shoulder. We always have the lights on if were off the highway and speeding though..
I have seen people abuse the lights but they get written up for if they get caught.

really? because a bad vib could develop into a problem. Imagine if he never had it checked, it could develop into a problem and cause an accident when he is trying to chase a suspect.
