Default cost of building vs buying complete engine

So the truck I might be getting is COMPLETE except for the engine. It needs an engine dropped in and hooked and and then its good to go.

It DOES have a BARE 6.0 block with a crank and cam. Thats it i believe. What would be the cost/time to build the block to atleast get it working in stock form to get the truck driveable.

I'm thinking about buying a complete 5.3/4.8 and dropping in until i can afford a 6.0 or just building the 6.0 block.

pro's, con's, cost/time differences?
