Default DIY window tint....

what brand did you use, the ones I've found local to me is, Spy Eyes, and Gila. What would be best to use. And no I will not pay someone to do it, I plan on doing my Saturn. I just don't want crappy tint that looks purple.

Thanks.

in my opinion look on ebay for the pre-cut tint. i've heard pretty good stuff about it. i hear it fits very well since it's computer cut and it's so cheap that if it turns purple in a year or two, you can just buy more. but a lot of places offer life time warranties on the color.

Gila used to be the standard, I Have never heard of spy eyes. What ever brand you buy, be sure it is scratch resistant, and get the highest heat rejection value you can. The films that say they have metal in them are very good. use about 3or4 drops of "joy" dish detergent in a quart spray bottle. and a rubber squeegee. (My brother owns a tint shop in miami) if you need some help or pointers PM me....

Dont use either unless you want it to fade or peel . Find a tint shop thats willing to sell you enough to do your truck.

Try to find some Madico brand tint if you can. Its the best on the market.

Baby Shampoo will actually the best and try out the best. Use just a little bit in the spray bottle. Make sure the glass is spotless. Every little piece of trash will show up and dont forget that there is a clear plastic sheet on the side the glue is on. the soapy water activates the glue.

Good luck man

I've had the ebay pre cut tint on my truck for about two years, still the same color as the day I put it on.
