Default drove couple nnbs trucks today cant decide now

Well just for giggles went looked test drove few trucks today and I'm amazed how much better these drive compared to my 2000 with mods. Since some things have changed need some input both trucks I looked at were over priced but I'm convinced on pickn up a nnbs now. First one was supposed to be a 09 silverado ecsb 4x4 lt model but wass plain jane had electric locks and windows no carpet manual seats that was it 77k on it they wanted 22k for it.then looked at another 09 work truck ecsb 4x4 with 30k on it dealer would put electric windows and locks free of charge at 20k but be in spot of window crank. Now for the questions is it worth just to spend more and get the 6.2 or just stick with the 5.3 both those trucks were 5.3s ran damn good for stock. Should I look around more seemed kinda pricey for them? What's the things I should look for gonna be doin some more lookn now but just flll me in some here you know how dealers are. Thanks guys sorry for long story

I been thinking long and hard about the nnbs since I sold my truck but here's why I am sticking with 07 classic and older (strictly my opinion):

1: way too pricey
2: too many sensors and emissions and blah blah
3: mpgs (not including the displacement on demand options

If I were you and I had to choose I would pick the WT with updated locks and windows just seems better deal for price. but would consider 6.2/6speex heard great things about them I'm not sure on there mpg though

My friend has beautiful blue truck that does not have DOD and he gets 14mpg :puke: so if I were looking into keeping it stock I would consider one with DOD they get 20 mpg on ave I believe. But if your looking to mod DOD wouldn't be best choice bc u have to change valley covers and lifters etc. The prices of trucks are high enough as is but seems to be that nnbs are crazy

This is all just my .02 but I do love nnbs looks

Its saves fuel by cutting cylenders but depending on how heavily youre going to mod it either get it without or get it tuned out. If your going cam and boost and all in id just skip it completley. Drive a 6.2
