Default Dumbass Tire Company Messed My Rims Up!!!

Well I took my truck in on Sat to get some new tires put on. When they were done they called me to come and pick it up. I paid them for their service and hit the road. When I got on the gas it felt like the truck was "spongey" I went down the road a few miles and it was getting worse. Then something was making a hell of a noise. I brought the truck back and they lifted it up and the dumbass mechanic forgot to tighten up the pass rear tire. Needless to say it screwed the rim up. Because the foose speedsters have changed a little on the look of the rim the tire company has agreed to replace all 4 of my rims.

They wanted to repair it but I refused to let them do it. So the only other option they had was to replace all 4 rims. And yes I was VERY lucky it didn't fall off, I don't know how much further I could have driven on that rim without it falling off.

a good friend of mine did brakes on a tahoe when i was working for chevy . well he forgot to tighten the lugs on the rear tire with a 22 inch wheel . well the bad part is yes the wheel came off a few miles down the road and the guy was a cop so needless to say my friend lost his job .

cool you got new wheels out of it . id actually be pretty happy. but i bet the guy that workd on your truck didnt end up happy.

Yea I'm pretty happy about the new rims. The guy that did the work will keep his job. He apologized up and down for not tightening up the lugs. I'm sure he got yelled at.

I had that happen at a local garage when I first started driving. by the time I was able to get out of traffic i had already lost 2 lugs. The mechanic that drove out the where my car was told me that it was company policy for customers to check their workmanship before leaving thier property and that if my firebird had been damaged they wouldnt have covered anything because once its out of thier bay its not thier problem. I let Sears or Goodyear handle my tire mounting now. Ironicly the name of the garage is 'quality towing'.

Damn that would have sucked. So what they were telling you is that they don't give a crap about their workmanship. Only your money.Did you pay for them to tow you???? If so they prob set you up.
