I used to go to truck pull offs where trucks would strap up to one another, the truck that always won was a Ford Expedition diesel 7.3 . It weighed so much it would pull dodge duallys around and almost every other truck around , plus it was low to the ground.

If the guy in the truck knew how to win, he would have won.

Like said, the VW only won because the truck hopped and it was over after that.

I've never had 4wd, so I'm not sure what it takes, but maybe it didn't engage?
If it was in 4wd, kind of strange that he fried the rear tires like that while the front was planted.
