Default Engines of the future...

Let's see 'em, post up links of new revolutionary engines that you read about or saw on the internet. Stuff like the counter-revolution engines to the Dieselotto engines that are being designed.

I'll post a few to get the ball rolling...

DUSTYYYY!!! I was just talking to Henry and I asked him if you dropped off the face of the earth! What's up man!! Where's the pics of the new CCSB?

Oh and I remember you once posting a link to a weird engine that made like 2000 ft/lbs at 200 rpm's. Was a pretty weird looking engine, remember anything about that?

I'm calling them tomorrow. Seriously! I was gonna ask them if they have or plan on having anything that would fit a Gen IV LS motor.
Never hurts to ask I figure!

I dunno... I kinda think that engines of the future are going to remain mostly similar to what you see today. The coates engine is possibly the only one that I could see being a working design. It remains largely something used today, but with some tweaks. I hate that I'm openly admitting this, because I couldn't stand the two guys in that video. They were acting like this engine is the key to solving global warming... all they did was replace the valvetrain with something different! It still runs off fuel, it's not a water fueled magic machine. I'm sorry, but if something is running off fossil fuels it's going to emit emissions as a byproduct of combustion. It may be able to run cleaner with a different setup, yes, but it's still producing emissions.

The other two engines up there just look way too flawed to be logical replacements on a large scale.

I think the future of anything is going to be fueling. Stop using gas and figure out what else there is out there. I'm sure fossil fuels will continue to be used for industrial use... shipping, construction, and other things I can't think of right now. The only real change that will help anyone or anything is getting people to put something other than gasoline in their tanks. The hard part isn't just coming up with something else, it's also getting people to switch. I know I don't want to lol... I love how my gas engines sound and feel when you stuff your foot to the boards.

I don't know, I'm done talking now.

I kinda agree with most of your points Mike. However there are a bunch of other engines out there that I've seen but can't seem to find again right now. I'll post them up as I come across them, some of them are quite viable!!
Oh and I called Coates this morning and asked to speak to their sales department. The lady hesitated and said they didn't have a sales department...
Asked her a few questions and she said that everything is still in R&D.
