FedEx vs UPS
What's everyone's preference? I used to like that fedex delivered on Saturdays but recently I have grown to not like them. Countless times fedex has failed to deliver when scheduled and they always cite weather delay even if weather is normal. Once they wouldn't come up my drive because they said there was snow meanwhile UPS delivered both days. Idk, just seems like they have a lot of excuses. Ups always delivers when scheduled.
Just wondering what everyone else's observations are.

Both have been spotty for me lately. UPS freight lost a 30,000 Part for our company recently. It just disappeared...
I ordered something from Amazon on Sunday 12/28 with Guaranteed delivery for Tuesday the 12/30. Amazon shipped it early in the morning on Tuesday but it sat at UPS and they rescheduled the delivery. No one notified me and I was left sitting at work until 7:30PM when I gave up and went home. I called UPS and they showed it was rescheduled do to the late drop off. They would not release it until they tried to redeliver it. I went to work Friday on my day off to try and catch the UPS delivery and Guess what... The driver tells me all the deliveries are in a Tag trailer and even if I go down there, I probably won't get anything until monday 12/5 when they unload it.

Both have been just as bad for me. I have sent stuff next day by UPS and when they realized that they were not going to deliver on time, they issue an exception notice for something like documents missing so my customer thinks it is my fault and UPS doesn't have to refund the shipping fee. No additional customs documents are required because I do it electronically. Their pricing was better than Fedex with my discount, but they just sent out a notice that they are increasing their fees by another 5%..nothing about decreasing the fuel surcharges. Where I live UPS subs out local delivery/pickup to another company with a grumpy jerk for a driver. FedEx was pretty bad with weather exceptions whenever they weren't on time. Neither one has Saturday delivery in Canada.
