I have an old 1 gig nano, never use it, lol. I hear the car kits suck. Try a CD! No seriously I went and checked them out, sound quality does suffer.

I just bought a 160G Ipod. The wireless FM modulator kits DO suck. Gotta be wired in to an accessory plug-in, or other hard wire

ya, I have a 30g and the wireless transmiter sucks. Like wkdivr said, hard wire through an accessory input if your radio has one...

Get a setup that actually plugs in, I have one that plugs into the Aux jack on the radio and it sounds just like a cd would. Works pretty nice.

you can get them to work pretty darn good if you do a few things
1st, pick a station to broadcast threw that its as far away from other radio stations as possible,
2nd, keep your Ipod volume at about 50% and if you want it louder turn the **** for your stereo
3rd, dont cheap out a crappy fm modulator, get a good one, I have phillips and it works awsome, ALMOST Cd quality sound

If you have a radio with a Aux input the cable is very cheap. If not then like mentioned above if you are going to get a FM transmitter dont get a cheap one as they suck.... The good ones sound pretty good but, I found them to be very goofy about placement.

dont bother with the transmitter. get the direct plug in if your deack supports it. i had two different transmitters and they were horrible.
