Question GM says Chevy Volt will get 230mpg

http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...230-mpg-82900/

I think it's cool and all for publicity but I think of it as pure Yeah it's gonna get great fuel economy and be really really cheap on our pockets but come up with a better system for electric vehicles and hybrid's like this one that aren't base don average person's commute.
Also I don't see it getting triple digits on the highway like it's claiming to be able to get.

But cool anyways, hope to have one of these one day!

Wonder on the 0-60 time, might need nitrous.
At least I wouldn't have to worry bout a tranny fallin on my nose if I buy a Volt.

Factor in the cost of replacing the battery and im sure the true cost of ownership goes up dramatically.

**** the enviroment, I'm in it for the cheap *** re-fueling. 40 cents to charge up the battery at home and you get 40miles out of it.

I like it as long as they don't think that just because some cars can get that kind of mileage then they need to raise gas to $20 a gallon. Plus it'll make that nature people really feel like they are making a difference so maybe they'll stfu. I'll stick to gas guzzlers (or cars that still get 30 on the highway yet retain respectable performance).

Neat idea, that about sums it up. Wouldn't own one, don't want one, don't think they should make it. Global warming/cooling whatever is all a made up fake problem that no proof exists to support. Just a made up thing to line their pockets with money. Thats all I have to say.
