Going to trade my RST
Well I think I have my wifes blessing and I'll be trading my 05 rst for an 03 SS.
I want a new project and I've always wanted an awd ss. This one is blue with only 45k miles on it. I guess I'll have to change my user name. I'm leaving all my current mods on the rst except the nos. Hope to have as much fun with the new project as I have with the old. What do you all think of the trade?

Yea. It's almost a straight trade (there is a small amout of money involved). Plus I'm pulling the nos. Mine has 105k the SS has 45k. I'm just tired of being lowered. I would like to see what I can do with the awd. I know they hook up pretty well. My rst is showing it's miles and I'm just tired of fixing it.

Thats really not that ignorant. You have to do alot more mods to a EC AWD SS then to a RC. Regardless on speed I would do the trade too, I've always wanted a awd ss.

I don't know much about what either truck is worth, but I'd say as long as you're happy with the deal, go for it.
Being able to hook on the street consistently is a ton of fun.
Obviously the heavier truck is going to be slower, but calling them "so slow" is just plain false. His current truck is also an ECSB, so the only weight penalty is in the AWD system, which IMO is well worth it for traction.

My personal best is a 2.1 60'. I'm not sure why. I think the 125-175 shot has something to do with it...lol. the rst's best 1/4 was a 14.0something at 103mph. I'm hoping to cut down on the 60' to get better a better et.
