Thumbs down Got my eye drilled

Well, yesterday at work I had got something in my eye. Didn't bother me that bad and I just waited for it to come out. Well it never came out, and when I tried to go to sleep my eye started swelling and hurting like hell. So went to the emergency room to find out that the peice of metal had already fallen out! BUT, while it was there it started rusting and left a spot in my eye. So he had to drill out the rust spot with this little drill. Try to keep you eye lids open when you see a drill coming towards ya!!! Worst pain of my life, not to mention I got to the ER at 11:30 and didn't get home till 6:00 in the morning.

Moral of the story- Wear saftey glasses!

Yep you're the reason I always wear goggle now. I remember reading that thread and going right out to home depot to get some goggles.

I had two guys, the first guy sucked, the second guy was awesome. I believe the second doc was the "The Eye associates" or "The Rentia Associates" something like that.. They are on the bottom floor next to the subway near the ER at Harris Downtown...

Do you have to put the drops in and gel? The gel stug like a ****...

The funny thing was, that the doctor doing the drilling had an eye accident a couple of years ago. His didn't turn out so well, they had to pull his eye ball out of his head, and clean it out. Unfortunately he can't see out of that eye anymore, but it still functions like normal and you can't tell is pretty much dead. So he was drilling with only 1 eye, ya he told me that AFTER he drilled mine, lol.

Got some gel that stings like hell at first, but goes away and kills the pain pretty good. And some hydrocodone for pain.
