Don't mean to give you a hard time but that wasn't bright and it could've ended with a news story. You really should get checked out by a doctor just to be sure. Please don't "play" with firearms and make sure others around you handle them with respect.

A Long time ago my brother was shooting his 30-06 at a concrete pillar from about 100 feet, it did the same thing, it knocked the guy standing next to him off his feet, hit him in the chest, I Don't know if it was the bullit or a chunk of concrete, but it came back at ballistic speed.

Should have gone to the hospital right away. Come on man, something hit you in the side of the head hard enough to draw blood and almost knock you off your feet. Glad you're ok, though.
