Yea I forgot about that, people always tell me that all of these injuries will come back to haunt you (us) when you're older

Thats bad luck. You seem to be taking it well, though. Get well soon!

Sorry to see the bad news Billy!! Hope you feel better soon! I think we've all been in a cast at one point or another and we all thought better of the doctor's advice unfortunately. And I'm sure myself as well as a few others will be paying the consequences once we get old and moldy for not listening to the guy in the white lab coat and funny German car.

Thanks Peter! I'm just great full that I didn't snap the tendon all of the way!

Thanks Corey...it is a pain in the butt having the cast on, especially working which I know that I shouldn't be doing but I can't live on workman's comp pay, and I'm really busy at work with stuff that I'm specializing in and I want to do the right thing by my boss who has been very good to me. What really sucks is that we keep getting hit with snowstorm after snowstorm, and shoveling with one arm is definitely challenging!

Thanks brother! Yea, why is it that we always think that we're smarter than the guy who went to school for seven plus years, and who diagnosed us in the first place lol!? Not looking forward to the "golden years" when everything starts hurting and aching

Hey man wow! So what caused the tendon to tear? Just wrong position or what? 4 weeks, no problem.

Yea, I guess...my palm was upward as I went to push on something when I heard the crack...I can't believe the noise that it made. I was pushing with a bit of force and I didn't really have my bicep and shoulder positioned behind my forearm so I guess that I sorta left that tendon hung out to dry. The doc told me that it is a very rare injury...people tear tendons in their elbow, shoulder, top of the bicep, but hardly ever under the bicep at the top of the forearm. I'm just lucky like that I guess...although I prefer rare GM vehicles over rare injuries
